Celebrate Our 50th Anniversary

The St. Catharines and Regional Niagara Twinning Association is quickly approaching 50 years of developing friendships and relationships with Port of Spain. In order to celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we are hosting several soccer matches between the Trinidadian Soccer team and several of our own soccer teams in the Niagara Region.

Three soccer matches have been scheduled on the dates of August 4th, 6th, and 8th. Please check out our events calendar for dates, times, and further details about the soccer matches.

We will also be providing the visiting soccer team with two tour days where they will be exploring various points of interest within the Niagara Region. We want to encourage local folks to join us on these tours. Seats are limited so anyone who wishes to come along must register with Helen. In addition to the soccer matches we are also planning a trip to Port of Spain in 2019! The dates for our trip will be Saturday, February 16-24, 2018.

During our stay we will have a week full of activities, exciting events, and experiences planned.

Anyone wishing to stay longer in order to see Carnival can arrange their flights and accommodations. Early September is the optimum time to book flights toTrinidad. If you plan to be in Port of Spain during the period of February 16 to February 24, 2019 please join us for the Official Tour from St.Catharines to Port of Spain to celebrate with our Mayor for the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Twinning of our cities!
